Can the family keep items aside before the estate cleanout?
Yes, and we recommend it. Take the pieces the family wants, or gather them in one room we leave closed, or mark them with painter's tape. Anything marked stays where it is. Nothing leaves until you have said the rest can go.
Before we arrive, it is worth one more pass for the small things that hide in a home lived in for decades. Everything we load leaves for good, so look in these places first:
