Aventura does not run its own bulk collection, and we found no bulk trash page on the city's website. Miami-Dade County collects for the Aventura homes it serves: two bulky waste pickups a calendar year, up to 25 cubic yards each, booked by appointment. City code counts multi-story condominiums as multifamily buildings, and those towers use private haulers, so the county pickup does not reach most Aventura homes.

Condo junk removal in Aventura's high-rises
Most people in Aventura live in condominium towers, and each association sets its own rules for anyone carrying things through the building. The rules one Aventura complex publishes show what to expect: a move form 48 hours ahead, one service elevator per building reserved through the security gate, no furniture through the lobby, and work only on weekdays from 9 to 4:30. Contractors must show general liability coverage and workers' compensation or an exemption.

Miami-Dade trash centers near Aventura, and who can use them
Aventura residents may use Miami-Dade's Neighborhood Trash and Recycling Centers, open every day from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The two nearest are Golden Glades, at 140 NW 160th Street, which also takes electronics and motor oil, and Norwood, at 19901 NW 7th Avenue, which does not take white goods such as refrigerators and washers.
Tower residents should check one thing first. The centers serve only residential customers who pay the county's waste fee, and staff match a scanned Florida driver's license or ID to an eligible address. If your building uses a private hauler, your address may not qualify, so call 311 or read the county's trash center page before you drive over.
Getting to Aventura from Hollywood
Aventura sits just across the county line from Hallandale Beach, about 13 minutes and under 7 road miles from our Hollywood base with no traffic. The usual route is south on US-1, which becomes Biscayne Boulevard once it crosses into Miami-Dade, or I-95 to Ives Dairy Road.
